Today, we're going to cover something unique and never heard of in fact. That is Tamil Trap Music! It has become a thing and the artist behind it is none other than Masta K! Without further ado let's get to know more about it and also about his most noticed track "Vachan Aapu 2.0".

Kannan Arumugam was born on 27th of January in Malaysia and educated in SMK and later continued on his studies. He had his interest in music since he started schooling. Step by step he brushed up his knowledge in his music life. He took sangeetam and learned how to play classical music instruments. Since he was small, his whole family was religious and showed passion in music. With the support of his family and loved ones, it has brought him up till this level whereby he is known today by everyone even a small kid. After that he has performed in many stages.

The rapper worked for few songs in "Zurazamharam". His first single was "Kalai Uyaruma" and the second one was "Asaiye Kattule". This two tracks are a very magnificent Karnatic rap songs. To this songs he collaborated with MC Va and Rabbit Mac. The rapper worked together with Emcee Jesz and more other artists for the international most anticipated album "Kavithai Gundar". Most of the song lyrics in that album have been written by him. He also featured to the single "Vel Vel".

Masta K worked together with MC Va, Dr Burn and Kelley on the singles "Nittrai Nilave" and "Kathal Thanoo" (15.08.2009). Dr. Burn, Dr. Alban and Sasi The Don done close together the single "Music In Me" (26.09.2009). After a big gap, he worked together with Diwan for their debut album "Paarthu" (12.12.2009). He featured there to the single "18 Vayasu", too. He also wrote most of the lyrics for the songs there. The lyrics of him are very meaningful and it brings a very hit to the song as well.

Furthermore now (02.01.2010) as we all know, he is working with the living legend, Dr.Burn on "Sollisai Thalaivan". You can discover most of his talent and hard work in that particular album. He is the world's first Karnatic Rapper whereby he has combined rap and Karnatic. Hence, Masta K gives the meaning for Masta of Karnatics. At last he was involved with Dr Burn on the single "Uchakkadam".

There is not much Tamil trap song currently. Masta K is the first one trying Tamil trap song. "Vachan Aapu" means backstabbing. The special about this song is, he used the voice sample from the most controversial person among Indian people as a chorus. The person is religious guru Nithiyananda. This person is very famous due to sex scandal with one of his devote. He mentioned "Vachan Aapu" in on his speech. So, Masta K took his voice sample and make it as chorus hook. The rap is all about the struggle in Tamil music industry in Malaysia, and his achievements in music scene in the past 15 years.
