Progressive house is a subgenre of house music. The progressive house style emerged in the early 1990s. It initially developed in the United Kingdom as a natural progression of American and European house music of the late 1980s. Progressive house emerged after the first wave of house music. The roots of progressive house can be traced back to the early 1990s rave and club scenes in the United Kingdom. In 1992, Mixmag described it at the time as a "new breed of hard but tuneful, banging but thoughtful, uplifting and trancey British house. A combination of US house, UK house, Italian house, Polish house, German house, and techno largely influenced one another during this era. And, while we're on the subject of EDM (Electronic Dance Music), some of the most promising young artists in this sector have emerged triumphant. From Denmark we have Niffer rising up when it comes to EDM genre. Among the tracks released by Niffer, his latest single "Somehow i lost ya" is highly notable. For now, lets talk more about Niffer.
Niffer's real name is "Kristoffer Hultgren Jensen". He is 16 years old, living in Denmark decided to be an EDM music producer at this young age. During his early days he has always thought about how awesome it would be to make EDM songs and remixes and stuff like that even since but he never really did anything about it. It was first about 2 years ago that he began producing music and since then he have worked really hard trying to be the best producer he could. His first instrument to play was Acoustic guitar and after that he fell in love with playing music. His big inspiration to produce electronical music instead of just playing acoustic was Avicii. After seeing Avicii on the stage with a big crowd dancing to his music he knew that is what he wanted as well. In December 2021, he published his first song on Spotify, YouTube and many of the other streaming services.
For his latest song “Somehow i lost ya” he got inspired to make the track by “Mike Perry” and his song “one life” which is one of Niffer's all time favorite EDM songs of all time and he also liked the idea of what the song was about. He had made the track and finished it in December 2021 but it got published in February 2022. The song is about falling in love with someone where it doesn’t go as planned and then the other person falls out of love with you. This story is also inspired from his own life from in August where he met a girl. Niffer really felt in love with that girl and it went well until some things happened and they just kinda felt out of love but still had hope to get together with that person. Then he began missing her, the way she used to look and smile at him in a way she didn’t to anyone else, all the memories and when he played his guitar for her the first time he saw her and got the first memory with her. He used his skills as an EDM producer to compose such a quality track that he expressed his feelings and emotion through it.
For this song Niffer got a guy called Petey Martin to make and mix the vocals for him. Petey is really talented and has worked with some really big names like Celine Dion, Kesha, Kygo, Sam Feldt and many more.
